Accessibility and privacy
Accorda Advisory LLC wants this site to work for everyone who visits it, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control. This page states what we aim for, what we have done, and what we know is imperfect.
What we aim for
Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard commonly referenced in United States accessibility practice and in the Americans with Disabilities Act context.
We consider this site substantially conformant. We do not claim perfection, and we would rather say that plainly than post a badge.
How this site is built
Accessibility here comes from how the pages are written rather than from a plugin or an overlay widget added afterward. Specifically:
- Hand-written HTML with a single main heading per page and a real heading hierarchy beneath it, so a screen reader can navigate by structure
- Genuine table markup with row and column headers and a caption on every data table
- Genuine definition lists and numbered lists, rather than styled paragraphs pretending to be lists
- A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page
- A visible focus indicator on every link and button, so keyboard users can always see where they are
- Descriptive alternative text on every image
- Colour contrast meeting AA at the sizes used, which is why our gold accent appears only in large display type and rules and never in body text
- A responsive layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling, and text that remains readable when enlarged
- All substantive content as real text. Nothing that matters is locked inside an image, a video, a tab, or an accordion
What we know is imperfect
Two things are worth stating openly.
- Third-party tools
- Our free assessment runs on Google Forms and our scheduling runs on Calendly. Those are services we do not control and cannot modify. If either presents a barrier for you, contact us and we will take your information and book your time directly.
- Self-assessment rather than audit
- This statement reflects our own review against WCAG 2.1 AA. It has not been verified by an independent accessibility auditor. We will say so here if that changes.
What this site collects
Google Analytics, and nothing else. It records which pages are read, roughly how long for, and where visitors arrived from. IP addresses are anonymized. There is no advertising network on this site, no tracking pixel from any social platform, and nothing here is sold or shared with anyone.
Analytics uses cookies, which is the only reason this site sets any. You can block them in your browser and every page will work exactly the same.
If you fill in the AI Adoption Gap Snapshot™ or book a call, those run on Google Forms and Calendly, and your information is held there under their terms. Accorda Advisory uses it to reply to you and for nothing else.
To ask what is held about you, or to have it deleted, email lesley@accordaadvisory.tech and it will be done.
Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it, and we will fix what we can.
Email lesley@accordaadvisory.tech and describe what you were trying to do and what happened. Please include the page address if you have it. We aim to respond within five business days.
If you need information from this site in a different format, ask and we will send it to you directly.
